Cheri Hunter is currently Associate Dean and Head of the Postgraduate Medical School at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Born in Canada, she has worked in healthcare, education and industry in a variety of countries including Canada, Australia, Singapore, Europe and the UK.
Cheri is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the current Working Party on Workforce Development and has been recently appointed as a consultant for employer engagement. Her specialist teaching encompasses leadership and management, evidence based medicine and a commitment to practice based assessment. Cheri was nominated and highly commended in the recent Vice Chancellor Awards. She has recently established a new company, The University Centre for Medical Education, as part of the university to formulate and develop new links and programmes within industry.
She has worked with a number of international partners on educational projects including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Greece, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
