Dr John Sweet

John Sweet is a visiting academic at the University of Bedfordshire assisting in the first PgCert Dent in the country.  He also has an external examiner role for a Healthcare Diploma in Education at UCLAN. 

He is an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor and module leader in the Postgraduate Dental Education Unit at Warwick Medical School.

On the educational research front he is lead investigator with a group of ten collaborators in a Medicine Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine Subject Centre Mini Project on dental clinical tutor education. 

Linked to this he organised the First UK Chairside Teaching Conference, held at Putteridge Bury campus of the University of Bedfordshire in May 2009. 

He has also been funded to investigate intercommunication between clinical and generic educational developers and is collaborating with an interprofessional group on clinical workplace settings. 

He also continues clinical practice as a specialist in Periodontology.
